See and Do in Little Malop Central this March

There is plenty to see and do this Autumn in Little Malop Central. Be spoilt for choice, explore the artwork in Union Street and enjoy the café culture, while enjoying the free entertainment on offer each weekday.

There is something for everyone. Entertainment includes:

  • Performance by Christine Middleton
    Monday 2 March, midday – 2pm
    A harp performance by Christine. Be spellbound listening to a mixture of classical and modern tunes.
  • Over 50’s Morning Tea – Performance by Gary Jones
    Tuesday 3 March, 10am – midday
    Singer, songwriter, multi-talented performer and 2019 Geelong’s Best Busker winner!
  • Performance by Spider Jazz
    Tuesday 3 March, midday – 2pm
    A quartet playing a genres of jazzy tunes.
  • Performance by Nic Dacomb
    Wednesday 4 March, midday – 2pm
    Ever wanted to try walking a high wire? This is your chance to start! Try the ‘slack line’ - it's the next best thing. Nic Dacomb has performed at the Glastonbury Festival UK, Queenscliff Music Festival, Warwick folk festival UK, Shrewsbury Folk festival UK, Port Fairy Folk festival and Nightjar Festival.
  • Performance by Juliarna and Friends
    Thursday 5 March, midday – 2pm
    Jazz gigs which are all about the execution of swinging jazz, but very occasionally Juliana performs a cabaret with an amusing mix of jazz, originals and other genres.
  • Food Truck Friday – Performance by Jack Meredith
    Friday 6 March, 11.30am – 2.30pm
    Come along and feast on the delicious food options on offer. Sit back, relax and enjoy listening to Jack Meredith, Bellarine singer songwriter, harmonica player and winner of the 2018 Queenscliff Music Festival foot-in-the-door competition. 
  • Over 50’s Morning Tea – Performance by Andrea Robertson & Friends
    Tuesday 10 March, 10am – midday
    Award-winning Ocean Grove singer/songwriter performing music that’s as natural as it is soulful. Her vocals fuse together blues, roots, folk and country with a dash of rock.
  • Performance by Levi Anderson
    Tuesday 10 March, midday – 2pm
    Breaking out solo from his band, The Kite Machine, multi-talented musician Levi will keep you entertained as he performs a genre of music styles.
  • Performance by Marcus Hayden 
    Wednesday 11 March, midday - 2pm 
    Combining vocals and guitar, Marcus is often compared to artists such as Paul Simon, Niel Finn and Ben Harper with his blend of American Folk and funky blues riffs. 
  • Performance by Steve Thew
    Thursday 12 March, midday - 2pm 
    A singer / songwriter and multi-instrumentalist influenced by Ed Sheeran, Passenger and Sting, Steve will perform a mixture of jazz folk / blues.
  • Performance by Racheal Brennan
    Friday 13 March, midday – 2pm
    Racheal will perform her not-quite-folk-rock, almost-pop-rock sound that has seen her perform at Port Fairy Folk Fest, Queenscliff Music Festival and Peaks & Sounds.

    The interactive sounds of trumpet and saxophone playing a variation of jazz genres.

    Friday 20 March, midday – 2pm
    Blues, Soul and Rock'n Roll. Music from the 60's, 70's and beyond will have you tapping your feet, dancing and singing along.
  • Performance by Kieran Tobin
    Monday 23 March, midday – 2pm
    Award winning solo artist from the Surfcoast. Playing hits from the last four decades, Kieran will surprise you with his own acoustic twist on each track, including contemporary pop from artists such as Adele, Rhianna & Sia.

  • Performance Ivan and Ethan Farmer Duo
    Friday 27 March, midday – 2pm
    The Ivan and Ethan Duo combines the talents of two of Victoria’s most soulful, expressive musicians. Ivan Fisher’s rich, emotional vocal sound is inspired by the likes of Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Etta James, Ray Charles, and other legends, ultimately combining their influence into a unique, soulful sound.
    Accompanying him is Ethan Farmer, whose exceptional guitar ability; expertly blending the sound of blues, jazz, funk and rock, perfectly compliment Ivan’s remarkable voice.
    Together they perform a range of classics, soulful covers, and original songs.
  • Storyfest – Performance by Hoop Fusion Tarnya Gillies
    Monday 30 March, midday – 2pm
    Prepared to be bedazzled and hoop-notised watching Tarnya perform her tricks. Learn the art and balance of the hoop in this interactive workshop.

    An interactive juggling performance. Learn the techniques of juggling while having loads of fun!
